University Today

Penza State University is the largest institution of higher education in Penza region and one of the leading universities of Russia.

The university provides training in 79 bachelor programs, 51 specialties, 30 master programs, and 10 programs of professional high education. The lectures are delivered by more than 180 doctors of sciences and over 780 candidates of sciences (Ph.D.).

Scientific research is carried out within 9 fields of sciences (engineering, physics and mathematics, history, economics, philosophy, law, pedagogy, medicine, sociology) in 14 lines of scientific investigation corresponding to scientific and technological development priorities of the region and the Russian Federation and complying with the standards of university specialists training.

Why PSU?

Penza State University is located in a quiet area, which attracts students with various cultural, religious, social and ethnic backgrounds. In addition, PSU actively employs distance learning technologies. For several years, it has been operating the Electronic Information and Education Environment (EIOS) based on the Moodle platform, which enables students to master educational programmes in full regardless of their location. University lecturers regularly take professional development courses and participate in webinars on applying advanced technologies in the educational process. Therefore, training is provided at a high level with the view to students’ needs and abilities under any circumstances. How to Find PSU?

ARRIVING IN MOSCOW

Major international routes to Russia go via its capital, Moscow. There are three major international airports in Moscow:
• Sheremetyevo (SVO)
• Domodedovo (DME)
• Vnukovo (VKO)

ARRIVING IN PENZA

The trip from Moscow to Penza can either be made by plane (from Domodedovo International Airport), by train (from Kazansky railway station) or by bus (from ,Shchelkovsky and Juzhnye Vorota bus terminals).

By plane

If you arrive at Domodedovo International Airport, you should go through Customs Control and then proceed to the check-in desks for national flights.

If you arrive at Sheremetyevo International Airport, you should get to Domodedovo International Airport. You may take a taxi (e.g. Yandextaxi, Uber, Get Taxi apps). You can also travel by the express train (aeroexpress) to Belorussky railway station (Belorusskaya metro station), then by Moscow Metro go to Paveletsky railway station (Paveletskaya metro station) and from Paveletsky railway station travel by the express train to Domodedovo International Airport.

If you arrive at Vnukovo International Airport, you should get to Domodedovo International Airport. You may take a taxi (e.g. Yandextaxi, Uber, Get Taxi apps). You can also travel by the express train (aeroexpress) to Kievsky railway station (Kiyevskaya metro station), then go to Paveletsky railway station (Paveletskaya metro station) by Moscow Metro and from Paveletsky railway station travel by the express train to Domodedovo International Airport.
